Befriending those who don't speak your langua

I just got a friend request from somebody who doesn't have a lick of English on their about me. I assume they may understand some English, but for the sake of argument, let's pretend they don't.

Do any of you accept friend request from people who don't speak your language? If the answer is yes, why?

I kind of understand it with Japan because many Westeners have interest in Japanese culture due to anime, gaming and other Japanese products. But outside of Japan, I wonder how often two people on xhamster befriend each other who don't speak the same language, but have a shared interest in porn or something.

Friend requests on this site seem pretty frivolous from what I seen, so I suppose language isn't an issue for people who add whomever requests them.
