RIP Ex-HENTAI + Discussing my Hentai Galleries
Within the past week, ExHentai was shut down immediately by the owner due to legal concerns. Ex-Hentai is a seperate arm of the Hentai image gallery community ExHentai. E-Hentai has many robust system to make it easy to find galleries and reward people to upload galleres or find hentai pics or manga people wanted. I loved how a gallery could be tagged with various keywords, and users can vote up or down on those keywords to increase the relevance of that keyword to the gallery, so when you used the search engine to search a kink, fetish, character or situation, you will find nearly any gallery with the content you're looking for. I could go on, but there is no other porn/hentai site in the world that has so many systems to help you find image galleries so easily AND effectively.
ExHentai is a separate arm of E-Hentai, that is tricky to get access to for a normal user. There are some hoops you have to go through in logging into E-Hentai and messing with your cookies to get access to ExHentai, also referred to SadPanda, as you will see a cartoon image of a SadPanda if you're not able to get to the site properly. ExHentai hosted more controversial hentai content: lolicon, shotacon and guro. Content that is shocking to many people and is a legal grey area or black area in various parts of the world. ExHentai and ExHentai's servers are hosted in the Netherlands and because of this, was able to host such content for so long. But due to recent law changes in the country, they were given only 12 hours to shut down the site before legal action was taken against the site/owner.
You can go to the EHentai forum for a detailed post from the owner Tenboro, but this comes with a domino effect of having EHentai to be closed around the end of the year. That means the greatest system to find hentai galleries will be closed soon, and I don't think there is any site that is remotely comprable when it comes to tagged galleries of curated pornographic content by enthusiastic users. Maybe Hentai2Read, but I don't think there is any such site that also has real life porn like E-Hentai does (to a lesser extent)
I got BIG into porn and hentai in my college years. I spent stupid amounts of time downloading, organizing, and re-uploading porn and hentai galleries to ImageFap, Futanari Palace, and E-Hentai. Had I not lost all my porn collection, I might be still doing it today. I could have been one of the biggest image uploaders due to the well organized and extensive porn collection I had. I LOVED the detailed tagging, category, favorites, and credit system that E-Hentai had and due to my many high rated galleries on E-Hentai, I earned multiple millions of GP (points/credits) from their view counts. These points have various uses on the site, but I mainly used the points to download entire galleries in an archive instead of downloading each image individually. The site had many ways to reward contributors like that. I even used the points so I could display more images on a page and larger thumbnails. I think those systems were a great way to incentivize people to contribute at least something before you could overuse the site's bandwidth for free.
So I want to promote my galleries while I can. Some of you see my limited uploads here and think I have nothing to contribute, but there was a time I was a porn sharing God, and my Galleries at E-Hentai are one of my most prized words as the Pr0n_Glutton.

I didn't really upload comics/manga and instead focused on a specific parody, kink, or artist's work. I would source images from HentaiPalm, Futanari Palace, Gelbooru, Danbooru, Rule34 (both of them), AerisDies, HentaiFoundry as well as various search engines and blogs. Some of those sites had tags, making it somewhat easy to find the images, and I used a combination of Firefox and a bunch of add-ons to make downloading multiple images easier. My galleries there are the result of much downloading, duplicate removal tools, deleting lower quality versions of images, organizing images to categorized folders and finally archving them in a zip file for easy upload to E-Hentai. AND THEN I sometimes even spent time re-arranging image files to put the most interesting images on the first page, or at least make the first image the best image in the gallery (This is the thumbnail that attracts users to the gallery). in 2010, I started the "Dark Skinned Project", which was essentially galleries focused on dark skinned girl characters from games and shows. I've always felt the skin tone of common hentai characters were "too white", despite being drawn mostly by Japanese and my goal was to show of more sexy babes of color.
