Does anyone know the logic behind deleted galleries. Some go, some stay. Confused.

to drgoodhead : Also my friend,Video's,Pic's are one thing but they will not let you say anything you want when are chatting also & thats wrong.Only certain people can say what they want.Write something that you wish to say.If it get posted kool but alot of the time.They (XHamster) will not let it be posted.One why is this copying another site & it's called P***H**?Saying anything about this site & nothing will be posted...

All my information comes from mainstream media, mainly the New York Times and the CNN (Cable News Network) web page. This crisis hit about 10 months ago. According to the CNN website, there is a strong "anti-porn" law hidden in the stimulus bill passed by the U. S. Congress earlier this year. The Feds are really cracking down on (mainly) "teen" and on "copyright violations". Hamster got caught by surprise because they have not done a good job policing this site. I imagine that every porn site in the United States has been similarly affected. In my humble opinion, the heart and soul of Hamster, the thing that made it so successful and so much fun for so many years, was the ability of users to publish uncensored photos anonymously. Unfortunately those days are over. In order to post photos today you must be a "Verified User". This means you must have a photo ID (drivers license, passport) and your personal information (name, address, handwriting sample) on file with Hamster. Many of my favorite users have stopped posting. A significant number have deleted their content and left this site on their own in protest. Hamster over reacted to the law enforcement threat and deleted thousands of galleries, including anything that could possibly get them into trouble with law enforcement. As a whole, Hamster has become much more "vanilla" and less interesting than it was a year ago. About 1200 of my "Favorites" were deleted in the "great purge". But there is still a lot of good material left to enjoy, and I am grateful for what remains.

They play hob with photos on this website, just random deletions, just to say to their financial backers that they are practising censorship. Every porn site has some form of censorship now, thanks to Visa and Mastercard.
