I see a lot of videos and galleries of lovely guys dressed up (I'm talking CDs), beautifully smooth bodies, shaved, even manicured.

I will guess it has to do with reaching that level of submission. I think for CDs that reach that point (manicure etc) they've long gone past the stage where just dressing up arouses them into a sexual frenzy. I think they have reached a point where they literally want to be a female and it's not so much the taboo and excitement of dressing up getting them aroused penisly (LOL penisly) but instead its just the comfort and security of it. What I mean is like for you it's an exciting arousal to dress up. For them it's reaching normalcy in their brain. Like how the 1st few cigarettes feel good but then you get addicted and now you need them just to feel normal, the pleasurable hit is gone its just you reaching normal that "feels good". I think for them being the girl just makes them feel normal instead of feeling shitty as a man so the arousal part is less and less of the focus. They end up longing to be fucked and manhandled and it doesn't get them hard anymore because getting hard isn't part of the vocabulary anymore. Hardness in your penis is a sign of your body wanting to be masculine and dominate and penetrate and squirt cum in somebody. What's sauce for the goose may not be sauce for the gander. There's a lot of things that can affect one's...visible vigor, or apparent lack thereof. A very obvious cause for less than maximum verticality might be hormone therapy treatment; I realize that's not a factor for many CDs, but you never know.
