Lingerie Tutorial Part IV - Bra Types and Sizing
There are actually more types of bras on the market than there are panty types, so covering each and every type of bra in the world may be impossible. So, if I miss a type, let me know in the comments section and I will be sure to add it so that we can make the list as comprehensive as possible. Even if we tried our hardest, we would all likely miss a bra type. I will touch upon men buying bras for themselves as a separate blog post. So, I figured that I would start by grouping bras by type and commonality. Here are the most common types of bras:
Soft Cup: This bra has no underwire and the garment usually has no or minimal padding. The soft cup bra has overtaken the underwire bra in terms of popularity as there are at least ten soft cup bra wearers for every underwire wearer.
Underwire: This bra type has a wire under the bra cup that helps to shape and lift breasts. Underwire is ideal for crossdressers as it can help to make use of what little breast fat that you have into something that resembles a breast.
Sports and Leisure Bras: These bras almost never have underwires and are usually made to in a variety of sizes and are used to support during sports activities or to wear a less supportive bra that is more comfortable. Sports bras are usually made of spandex and leisure bras can be made of similar materials or can even be made of cotton. Additionally, sports bras and leisure bras commonly have front closures - meaning that a set of hooks or a zipper is on the front. If you have chest hair and don't shave it, don't buy a sports bra with a zipper, or if you do, zip up the bra and put it on over your head before you zipper it up. You will get your chest hair in the zipper and it will hurt.
I'm going to come back to this post - I had something come up while writing this and have to go now.
