What were you doing that morning of terror?
I was the operator of a drinking water treatment plant at a trailer park near my house. That morning I was having installed a new meter, as the old one was giving me fits with bad, or no readings. That was 8:30 AM. Then I went home and turned on the news and called my wife at her office at the local hospital and told her what was happening that morning.
That evening I went to work the 2nd shift at the lab, and folks were in shock. The 1st shift shuffled out, and right after dark, my shift all went outside on our break for a 'ceremony'. We **** a few patriotic songs and shed a tear or two. And I told my crew it was time we did our job and got back to work. The now quiet airport across from us and the skies over the next couple of days without airplanes in them was enough was the dawn of a NEW AGE, for many of all ages.
