Concluding Image Operations
There has been no progress at getting XHamster to re-list the 50 or so galleries they took down. My attempts to get clarification on what their guidelines are only resulted in equally vague language, depending on who was responding, and no consistency with either what of mine they took down, or what other people have posted.
If you look at the news at large, there are many stories of AI image generation being used to create ************** images for wide distribution. The galleries I have created require a certain amount of technical and artistic skill. But it is inevitable that this will become easier over time. I'm very conscientious in how and what I produce images of. Not everyone is. It's clear that this is a problem and is escalating faster than website admin and law enforcement can easily cope with.
I thoroughly condemn and deplore the use of AI image generation to distribute ************** images. I feel there is a role for AI image generation in creating smut of the sort that I do; imaginative and fantastical works that no one needs to regret doing later in life. However, at present, there are not the tools to easily distinguish between the two in bulk, and I think that is probably the main reason behind the wildly vacillating standards and application from XHamster.
I had wanted to be part of the solution to this problem, by providing an example of ethical and disciplined use of AI image generation for pornography. Unfortunately, because of the current state of the tools for establishing provenance, my work is part of the problem. So, until we have better ways of ensuring lawful use of this technology, I'm ceasing the creation of new galleries or reinstating my old ones.
Thank you to everyone who has liked or commented on my works. I appreciate it deeply. I'll probably continue to experiment a bit more and post with using AI text generation for erotica. It's not nearly as compelling, but that means there are improvements to seek!
