I'm bored at work so thought I'd just write some self reflection thoughts and a bit of info about me for anyone interested.
A question I ask myself often and by others is why would I like porn so much.
I'm fit healthy slim and tall I'm quite flat in the boobs department but quite attractive so I've been told and when I go out I get chatted up a lot and men and women who must pick up on my bisexual/lesbian desires often so finding casual sex is never a problem if needed.
So why would I enjoy watching porn as much as I do ?
Well the simple answer is probably the same as you !
It allows me to explore my own sexuality in safety it allows me to experience fantasies I'd never live out in real life especially as most things I watch I have no interest in doing but watching someone else's do them is such a turn on.

Yes. It is all about testing your own limits of what is "acceptable" sexually. Often things we see in the porn world seem way too "extreme" to watch for long. But seeing similar things over time sometimes gives you a gradual change of mind - moving, over time, from something objectionable to something to make you curious and then, finally, something you fantasize of doing. Watching is participation. Some of us are blessed with beauty or sexual prowess to the extent that we can have as much sex as we want physically, and even be performers on the artistic stages of life, including porn. Thanks for posting this, makes a change from some things I’ve seen, though there is nothing wrong with that. As you say, they fuel the imagination and take us to places we know we won’t go to, but give us the opportunity to find out. Why do watch porn..? Well I’m old, fit..ish, definitely not slim, and had a very meagre sex life, so it encourages me to see others like me, not the fit, handsome and ripped type, having sex, in all its form, and enjoying it. You hit the nail on the head...watching porn or playing with others. Most of us live somewhat vanilla sex lives give or take a stand deviation from traditional (however you define that). Yet inhibitions are released withing things we likely never will do in real life. That's a really adult and a wonderful explanation of why so many people are on these sites. YES it's a release, YES it's mostly fantasy and, YES it allows us all to step outside our safety zone and let the mind expand letting erotic dreams take over our lives for that short period of time this allows us all to expand our sexual mind / needs this seems to increase individuals orgasms within these fantasies, or as you say we are voyeurs within our own minds.
