When people say that everyone masturbates, and the rest are lying, that isn't actually true, there are a surprising number who don't due to religious reasons, or a low sex drive etc...
A lot of animals masturbate, including kangaroos, dogs, and of course apes who are nature's no1 masturbators, which would explain why we are too.
In any zoo you will see monkeys enjoying orgasm, so science wins I'm afraid, and taking religion too literally is a turn off, this isn't about beliefs it's about nature and our evolutionary desire to masturbate.
I have attended church on and off for years, and there's too many anti masturbation types going, most don't talk about the subject but, some do so I know from experience.
Usually those who deny evolution are more likely to be against masturbation, just an observation I have made, but they will never be at peace with themselves.
