Dear Nicola, thank you for this very beautiful poem on friendship. He is so comforting. I did not know this text, but, I love it very much. I suggest you read the one in our French poet, Jean de la Fontaine: "The two friends" I think you will like. Our friend Chan, certainly knows him.

Dear nicky, you did it again 👍🏻👍🏻😌! it got so many layers, memories, a healing mourning "leave me alone/ i just wanna cry and jell it out ish ,a brief smile of recognition for what/ppl i dont have (anymore since a while..)and wish i had again, because i realy could use friends...(dont care if it sounds boohoo, not everybody is lucky), or just simple thought dwelling to nowhere. you got me for a sec, me thinking cool a new Kerouac ;p (srry not eberybody knows elton john s complete musiclist ehe). anyway, i bet this did some to ppl, but i hope mostly that it did whatever good to YOU!!🤞 i hope youre doing a bit fine🤞 at least you know you have a whole pile of friends caring for you, irl or online, so take good care of yourself ;) 🙏🙏 greets ;)

to Nickyhere : Elton John's early albums are little-known in France, which is a shame because they are his bests, especially for the lyrics. I discovered them, thanks to an older friend, when I spent two ye ars studying in England.

Very early Elton. My parents used to play it in the house, among all his early songs and albums. Just came into my head, sitting in the garden this afternoon. I knew instantly who it should be dedicated to. And it sums up my thoughts these days. I’m hoping that the Stranglers’ “Always the Sun” hits me sometime soon. With my love, as always.
