FTW might be surprised to find that I dislike "Western morality white knight bullshit" too. I dislike heavily that western society is imposing upon the rest of the world. That kind of ethnocentrism is eroding the beautiful diversity of cultures in this world. There have been countless wars and atrocities committed in the name of promoting one brand of morality over another. People say that every war ever fought was over religion. Well this is bull shit. I can think of very few wars which were fought over religion. I can think of many wars, however, for which governments have galvanized support for the conflict by using religion, or morality, as propaganda to create mass fear and hate. The same tactics are used on smaller levels, too, from political campaigns to advertisements to scuffles between individuals. All use things like morality to push their separate agendas. But I don't just hate the atrocities that occur in the name of morality, or the erosion of diversity it can create, what I especially hate about it is the deceit and hypocrisy involved. When a government, company, NGO, or a single individual hides their true motives and wraps them in moral garb, it has the effect of creating mistrust and promotes deceit. It insults people's intelligence and makes those of us who really do have a valid concern look like we are as deceitful as they are. I'll give you a good example. Three months ago I opposed a video which I felt promoted violence. Some disagreed with my view, as was their right. I opposed the video, not out of some idea of western morality, but because I thought the video truly did promote violence. I see a lot of disgusting things on this site that my sense of western morality might make me opposed to, but I don't call for their deletion. On this recent occasion, however, I thought the video's deletion was appropriate on the basis of safety and because I knew the video was not something this site wishes to affiliate itself with. Yet, just recently, the user whose video I complained about is currently making a pathetic, desperate effort to get a few potentially offensive, yet very innocuous, pics removed from my awesome profile. Like the governments which claim their vicious intentions as moral endeavors, this user is pursuing a vendetta against me while claiming to be championing the rules of this site. His intention are not at all about upholding the standards of this site, as he routinely gets his uploads deleted because of his callous disregard toward those very standards. He is angry at me because I got his video deleted, and because, no matter what he does, he just cannot seem to "win" against me. He feels himself inferior, so he attacks me. So... that's what I hate. I hate it when attacks are made in the name of morality or upholding standards when, in reality, the true aim is to "win" or nurse a wounded ego. And I hate it when the people who do it patronize the entire community in trying to persuade it that their intentions are pure. The users on xhamster are not stupid; they can see when an issue is raised out of genuine concern, and when it is part of a personal vendetta. And I don't like being called a "lying cunt" either, especially after I have gone out of my way to be nice the person calling me that.
