I have received a lot of question about how to do a homemade dildo. Well, now i will try to explain how I do.
First you have to think what you want, shape, dimension, etc.
I guess that is important talk with the one that will use this toy to know what he/she likes. Some sketchs will help you.
Then you have to make your dildo with some modelling clay. In this phase is important go slowly, and adding some details like veins or nervations only after you have obtained a good base shape.
When you are totally satisfied you have to make the mould and you can use some gypsum, that is cheap but not so good because it's too firm, or silicone rubber that is the best way.
For these first toys i have used gypsum and the result are not so good because there are some bubbles in the mould.
You can use a pit mould if tour toy is simple and you work with silicone mould, otherwise you have to make a shell mould.
Now you have to pour slowly the silicon rubber in the mould and take care that no bubbles remain in the toy. You have to tap the mould to help bubbles to go away from the top. When the rubber is firm you can open the mould, take off your toy, wash it accurately and start to play!
This is an example how to realise a shell mold. With an original in clay, or other soft material, you cant use clay again as a support, you should find another method. But this is only an example.

in this site you can find out some tips if you search. http://www.instructables.com/
Anyway this is complex to do and you need a lot of experience in every step.
I have learned in high school because similar tecniques have a lots of application in art. You have also to take care about the atoxicity of your silicon rubber and other things that could contaminate your toy. Be safe! You can't use silicone based lubricant with silicone toy! Be careful, it could be dangerous.
You have also to consider the firmness and the dimension, your toy could appear small, but is a good idea to measure it especially in diameter.
Obviously I will be pleased to see your work!
