Recruiting Tactics
Over the 30+ years of my swinging career, I have been a member of a dozen swinger clubs. They all had various means of recruiting new members. Some tried hard to do so, others just waiting for new members to show up. Here were some of the recruitment tactics I remember.
Swinger magazines, and I guess these days, websites.
Word of mouth, obviously. Every swinger knows a couple who just might be into it. It can be tricky to recruit this way, but one approach is to bring it up not as "We do, do you want to?" but as "Have you heard of this? We've thought about it, but..."
We had (as I said before) a club member who was a divorce lawyer and he would sometimes recruit women to have divorce gangbang parties.
In one club we had a fertility doctor who would suggest to women who wanted to get pregnant from test tubes that it was much cheaper just to have volunteer swingers plant a seed. (I did a few.)
Several clubs had advertised offering the services for "private video production" on the "well will come to your home and discretely film you and your wife for your own later amusement." Once you got people comfortable screwing in front of strangers it was easier (sometimes) to get them to the next step.
Some clubs had active recruiters who took salsa dance classes (that's how we got recruited) or other sexy events.
Sometimes nudist clubs produced recruits, Sometimes they were horrified at the idea.
Strippers sometimes could be good recruits. It just depended. Some strippers were also prostitutes (bad idea) but some could not imagine screwing anybody but their husband/boyfriend. Those were worth a conversation.
One group offered "private stripper lessons" so women could strip for their husbands. Some of those women were found to have an interest in open minded sex.
One group had a serious program of recruiting and even training. They would have "new swinger orientation" days when new people who had not swung yet were brought into the club on a non-sex tour, to make it easier for them to get comfortable.
There were other ways. Maybe I'll remember some of them later.
