Secret Conversation

I can't forget that day we met each other,

I thought that maybe you were some one elses lover,

But was curious of what it would feel like,

To have you as mine, if only for one night.

We talk to each other endlessly as though we were old friends,

Only to remain a wonder why the conversation had to end.

You see, I was in your head and you were in mine,

The longer we talked the deeper we would go, how deep could we gotten if we still had time.

Then you hit me with the one thing I never thought to ask ,

You said, I could never love a white woman, as if it was nothing to get past.

My feeling then changed, only to remember other times,

Of past hurts that still hurt because of over looked signs

Now, you think there no problem to remain simply friends,

But I'm sorry, it's over for me - this conversation must end.

You deceived me from the beginning, there's no where for it to go,

But, for the record, tonight for a moment, you were mine and no one has to know.
