When the name Edinburgh Fringe is said, different images come out. Full of arty fatty luvvies. Over run with overpaid tapeless BBC executives on a jolly etc.
But if you scratch under the surface sex in its various forms is rampant.
The gay community of whatever type thrives openly..... sometimes to openly ! Use any set of initials TVs etc. they are about.
There are the 'I'm dressed up look at me' folk..... often spotted parading the Royal mile People watching is itself an art form.
The entertainment itself goes from the sublime to the ridiculous...... an hour with Giles Brandreth and you come out begging for more.
Al Murray blessing his audience with lager is 90 minutes of belly laugh
Margaret Thatcher as a drag act, an audience full of gays and innuendo.
There's plenty of burlesque and raunchy........ who the hell wants Ibiza when this is on your doorstep ?
