My St. Patrick's night out with my classmates
i've also thought about titling this "Don't Fall in Love with a Dreamer" because i love slave bonni and i know what she's going through with Sir G. When Y/you hear that song, think of T/them and that special love T/they share. i think after, Y/you'll understand why i couldn't write this in my "comment" box
Mark & A/all,
W/we had an absolute BALL last night.
First off, my chest was painted like shamrocks with a white picture frame border and the little 'Fighting Irish' leprechauns squared off facing each other on my nipples.
i'm not sure of any timelines now but the limo drivers picked up the 21 of us nursing students (10 in one limo and 11 in the other) and we all went to eat dinner. The only stipulation was (recommended by the drivers), no one could change limo's so all could be accounted for. The later the night, the more important that became.
W/we all sat together at the restaurant. i tried corn beef and cabbage (now i know why my mother had never prepared that for our dinner). i settled for a cheeseburger. W/we didn't all get to set with each other all the time in the various pubs but we were all within shouting range of each other IF you could be heard over the crowd. W/we all agreed, we came together and we will leave together - no excuses.
i never knew there were so many Irish 'Pubs' in the area but i think we stopped at each of them. i'd never heard of the " Ancient Order of Hibernians" but last night, EVERYONE was Irish and we were all Hibernians. The party atmosphere was awesome and growing as the night went on. Although i didn't even try to buy any alcohol (if your parents are alcoholics, you'll understand), when we all sat in a group, my leprechauns got us prompt service at our tables. Some places were so crowded, we couldn't get a table or even a bar stool (did you know it wasn't until recent history, women were not allowed to sit at the bar in an Irish pub?) The bartenders were so busy, it was hard to get served - until someone (most anyone) would come up next to me and ask if i could get the bartender's attention. i'd stick my leprechauns out and get service. It even worked for the barmaids too.
Some of the girls were surprised to see me flashing my leprechauns but (i think) most knew i was a stripper when i began nursing school. i wasn't flashing them all the time, just when someone among us needed a refill on their drink. Let's just say, there were a lot of refills. Several of the girls got a little risque' and showed some cleavage but no one else dared to flash. i think they just wanted to show they weren't a prude and (maybe) wanted to see how far they could go.
i was drinking Ginger Ale and although i was the one who was the most risky, the other girls were getting kinda loose. A couple girls asked if bonni and i were more than friends and i told them "Yes, i love her." Then i told them "i love you too, bonni is in a committed relationship with G and i wouldn't have her risk that" i don't think today, anyone will remember asking that question.
i've seen enough seductions and flirting to know, a couple girls had thought about it while in the limo rides. i could see the lust in their eyes. Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it was true emotions but i really think had the rides been much longer, this night could have given us a lesbo experience.
Bonni and i were close all night long but we didn't get intimate. she was well over the legal limit but not drunk by any means. she needed this night to get away from reality. i can't get into Sir G's medical problems but bonni needed this night to get shitfaced. she didn't get shitfaced but she did have a good time. me too....
W/we stopped at a VFW that had a live band. W/we students basically took over the dance floor. Imagine all 21 of us out there dancing and shaking our booty with each other and all the sudden, the band leader introduces "Bonni" to the whole VFW post. He said "We're not playing anymore unless Bonni comes up and sings with us". This band remembered her from a karaoke night at my birthday party. Now, 20 of us are on the dance floor, stomping, clapping and cheering her on to go up on stage and sing while bonni has squatted on the floor and has her hands over her face. i have no idea but considering it was St. Paddy's day, there was at least 300 people in there.
Well, it took some convincing but she got up there and REALLY rocked the house. W/we were like groupies and just stood at the stage and watched her sing. After about the 3rd song, the whole VFW was just standing and listening to her. she sang ballads and love songs but what really brought the house down was when the lead guitarist told everyone he'd been waiting for the day he ran into Bonni again because he'd been practicing for just this occasion. He did his best and very convincing Kenny Rogers and wouldn't accept her saying no - she with her raspy Kim Carnes voice, they sang "Don't fall in love with a dreamer" and brought the house down. i cried for her because i know the pain in her heart this song represents to her and Sir G.
W/we had more bars and pubs to hit but this was just too much. Bonni was the evenings star and this band just wouldn't let her go. They wanted her to stay and sing all night. S/she sang for about an hour - hour and a half and felt as though she was holding us up from continuing our night out. At least this time, she got the bands name and their phone number.
Wow, after that climax of the evening, we continued bar hopping but it was a let down and most everyone was ready to call it a night anyway. W/we all went out for an early breakfast and called the night over. W/we all chipped in and tipped the drivers $100.00 each for their wonderful service and then the drivers took us all home. i checked in and found Master and slave veronica snuggling together so off i drifted to bed at about 2:00 AM.
What a wonderful night it was. Thank You Master.
