Tips for messaging
Hi guys, It's your friendly neighborhood Niky and I am here to help you guys out with messages. Obviously there are more men that women on this site and I think we can all agree that some people just aren't worth your time of day however, the process to decide this can be agonizingly long when you are someone like me who attempts to give everyone a chance. With that being said I would like to give you guys some pro tips if you will on how to ensure that we keep communicating.
Pro Tip #1: Don't Start The Conversation With "Hi." or " Hi. How Are You?"
Everyone has a reason for wanting to start a conversation. Maybe you appreciated the about me section of the profile. Perhaps, as it is in most cases, you liked the profile picture and wanted more. Let that be known when in that first message. Me personally, I am more likely to have a conversation with someone who tells me this....or sends me a full sentence to start of with. Being straightforward about why you wanted to contact the person will automatically open up the conversation versus going through all the " Hi. How are you?" bullshit.
Pro Tip #2: Honesty is the Key
Please let your intentions be known from the jump. I really appreciate that because it let's me know how much effort I should put into our budding "friendship." Whatever your intentions may be telling whoever you are talking to will make the conversation much smoother.
Pro Tip #3: Keep the Motherfucking Conversation up.
If all you are gonna do is say Hi and then I say it back and you don't respond until a week later with another Hi I am not going to talk to you. I am pretty sure most people wouldn't talk to you. That shit is so fucking annoying. I hate it so much. I think that if you keep trying the conversation will eventually pick up but there has to be interest on both sides or it will fall and the fall, at least for me, is very apparent. I'll just stop replying to your messages if I do not enjoy them to some degree. If you have no idea what to talk about just say that. Not knowing what to talk about can reignite the spark of the conversation because now you are both actively searching for something that you both enjoy or something that one of you enjoy and the other is very curious about.
Well I hope my tips help. If I think of anymore I will post them on here so be on the lookout for an update to the blog or post. I am not really sure what it is called. I shouldn't have wrote that. Great I am writing out my thoughts. Let's stop here before this gets political.
With Regards, Ms. Geek
