Ok guys, Here's a question ... Do you talk to your mates about porn?

I'm talking about 'personal mates'. Not mates you've not recently befriended here on xhamster or other porn sites, e.g. 'batebuddies' or online porn aficionados. Not the folks you share your love of porn with though the anonymity of the internet and know nothing about, apart from their porn preferences - but guys you know in the flesh? Watching a guy cum on cam or a photo of his cock is not what i mean!

I'm talking about 'personal mates'. The ones you've know for decades, the ones you've known since school, seen married, reproduced and advanced in years?
The guys you hang with in a social capacity? College mates, team mates? drinking buddies? etc and guys your just getting to know through whatever means, neighbours, customers, education etc.... There are probably other types of 'personal mates' but i guess you know what i mean....

I talk a little bit about porn to my 'personal mates'and most know i'm a porn hound, i make no bones (no pun intended) about that. They've seen me buying up stocks of magazines and know i have a stash of mags going back 40 years and a hard drive full of stuff. I'm not shy about my porn habit. But aside from the basics.... they know nothing...

to acciobanu66 : Yeah your right. I can talk with my mates about porn, no issues. However, I, like may people have a hidden side which can evoke shame and would never divulge to friends in real life. I'm more likely to talk about that stuff on the net. Ive learnt a lot of stuff from the internet and been shocked by some stuff I've seen too. But experimentation and playing with shame is OK i guess. Plus as i get older and see what others are up to im giving a shit less...

I think it's good that porn and masturbation are secrets from acquaintances, but on the internet, a free world, to say that you love porn and that you masturbate with porn.

I think that many of us accept that we all watch porn as do our "real life" friends and it becomes almost an unspoken truth just like mentioning its light outside during the day or that water is wet, there is no sense in pointing it out. Whenever I'm chatting with friends and porn comes up (usually in banter of some kind) then its just kind of talked about in jest against someone rather than any kind of proper porn discussion. Had a few shortish conversations with friends about porn but just skirted the real topics, just general stuff and not for long. I think that most of us will find that discussing porn with our offline friends is beyond us due to the fear that they aren't into porn like us and will spread the knowledge that we are into things like porn and we will be impacted in our day-to-day lives like our job/family/social circle etc. Also I'm not sure how much I could actually talk to a non porn addict about porn. With the lack of knowledge alone it would be completely pointless to even try on their end. Then there is the fact that years of porn addiction has enlightened me and my tastes to beyond that of a "normal" guy.....don't see many guys saying they love shemales or femdom for example.
