My favorite TV shows of all time
In no particular order...except for the first -
Mary Tyler Moore show
Dick Van Dyke show - especially any episode that had Carl Reiner (as Alan Brady) as a guest
Humans - fascinating show about artificial intelligence - can't wait for the next season to begin
Orphan Black - not a great show but Tatiana Maslany gave a pile of performances for the ages
Twin Peaks - just the original and just the first season
Star Trek - groundbreaking
Star Trek: The Next Generation - especially any episode with John de Lancie (as Q) as a guest
Lost - well, at least the first few seasons - also groundbreaking
Hot in Cleveland - Betty White is God but Wendie Malick is not far behind
St. Elsewhere - despite the worst final episode of all time
ER - groundbreaking - especially in the early years
Bob Newhart Show - the one with Suzanne Pleshette as Emily, his wife
Moonlighting - Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd were magic
Cybill - Cybill Shepherd and Christine Baranski were magic
Miami Vice - groundbreaking
Twilight Zone - really grounbreaking
My Mother, The Car - OK just k**ding
China Beach - I not only fell in love with both Dana Delaney and Marg Helgenberger, but this show was consistently gripping
Mission Impossible - this list will self destruct in 10 seconds
Just Shoot Me - another great vehicle for Wendie Malick; I can't stand David Spade!
Laugh-in - nothing like it before or since
Carol Burnette Show - Tim Conway is the funniest man who ever lived
Homicide: Life on the Streets
Monty Python's Flying Circus - This parrot is dead!!
Taxi - Louis Dipalma and Iggy were comedy gold - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QsFDpTEl84
Cheers - at least during the Shelley Long years
Downton Abbey - high-end soap opera but I was hooked
CSI - the original was, you guessed it, groundbreaking
24 - the first few seasons were tension filled and didn't seem to have much "filler"
Better Off Ted - no one watched this but is was a great workplace comedy
Nip/Tuck - sexiest soap opera ever
Hill Street Blues
NYPD Blue - perhaps the least attractive leading man ever
Pushing Daisies - a unique concept done really well
Wonder Years - quietly charming
Mad About You - with a pathetic, furry, thud!
WKRP in Cincinnati - "Now it's time for more music...and less Nessman"
Barney Miller - "Wojciehowicz - spelled just the way it sounds" - thanks for the reminder, Montevideo
Night Court - I actually once sold a pair of headphones to John Larroquette - he was very nice. And Markie Post had great boobs!
The West Wing - I wish Jed Bartlett was our president! - now (2020) more than ever!!!
Chernobyl - terrifying and gripping.....and terrifying
The Good Place - a unique show with a wonderful cast - Janet rules!
