I slowly exit the restroom. All the customers have left, and Gerard hands me a broom and a sponge.
He tells me he's going to throw a big party in my honor tomorrow. I wonder what he's up to.
In the meantime, the afternoon passes calmly. And in the evening, the regulars are still there.
