As Trade Minister Simon Birmingham and I are speaking about the tariffs that are being imposed by China on Australian wine imports, that's in retaliation for allegations from China of dumping, those tariffs, or what China is calling deposits, will be between just over 100 and over 200% making the Chinese market unmarketable and unviable for hundreds of Australian wine producers, said Simon Birmingham.
He denied the accusation of dumping and says the government will defend the industry's integrity and will want to repeal the decision. That's the latest from Adelaide and the Trade Minister.
