The years of the Spanish Inquisition were a hell on earth for people accused of practicing witchcraft and being in league with the devil.
Many times condemned by their own friends and neighbors, they were tried and tortured by official inquisitors until they pleaded guilty of the charges against them, whether they were guilty or not.
What is not so commonly known about this terrible era, however, is that some of the inquisitors actually enjoyed torturing their victims.
They derived great pleasure out of hearing their prisoners' screams of agony, and sometimes they would even force their ********* captives to commit acts of depravity,
simply because beneath their righteous-minded exteriors, they themselves were extremely depraved creatures.
