(can't shower with all the dressings on MY belly and arm)… Read more
an update on Me
had appointment with hematologist today. seems there's too much protein in My blood. they nare going to run some more tests, but are pretty sure it's due to My k**ney situation. next appt with nephrologist is next week. will probably then schedule the surgery for the tube in My stomach (PD dialysis). pet was worried sick about this appt, and why. but was relieved that it turned out to be not much. then we went to Chili's to eat, which she enjoyed. then to walmart (which she hates. the PTSD)… Read more

finally got pet to get blood test for to get on the plaquanel. Dr fussed at her about her blood sugar too. it's causing some issues. another update on pet's RA
well, the prednisone seems to be helping some, with the pain and swelling in her ankles and feet. they want to get her on plaquenil. but they have to test her blood for some enzyme first. and she's put off getting the blood work for weeks now. (she has a few..issues). it's kinda frustrating, especially when the med will help her with the pain levels, and stop the progression of the RA. meanwhile, she had some of her "other" medicine available while I was home, so I was able to use her good. or at least as well as I could with 2 adult c***dren, and their best friend in the house. she was a go… Read more
another update
pet had a bone density scan yesterday, to set a base line. in case any of the future meds affect how she process calcium, etc. and more blood work. then talked to he RA Doctor today. because the miocycline isn't working. her pain has been getting worse. they can't start her on the biologics yet, because we haven't been able to get her teeth fixed yet. (and won't be able till tax return. too broke). so they are starting her on plaquenil.it's not an immune suppressent. starting prednisone, for inflamation. and hydrocodiene for the really bad days. WE thought We had a lead on a dentist that worke… Read more
fishing
My pet got to go fishing yesterday. We have a pond in the back yard, and haven't really fished in it since We moved in a couple years ago. when We moved in, it looked kinda pitiful. water level was half what it is now. but it's been a good year, and the pond is full. pet wanted to go fishing the other day, but the rods were all tangled up. so last night I straightened them out out, cleaned and oiled the reels. tied on new hooks, etc. then this afternoon we walked out there with a bag of old hogie buns. pet actually caught the first fish. a good pan sized brim. then I caught a couple catfish. s… Read more
update
the Dr put pet on levothyroxin. it's an antibiotic, but is supposed to help with RA. after only 3 days, she has a damn yeast infection. she's very not happy with it, and is gonna talk to Dr monday about it. as for the gum infection, and her teeth problems, We don't have the money to get them treated. but the Dr office said there's a clinic in waycross that does pre-bono work. they base the fees on your income. so maybe we can get teeth done there. We'er temporarly out of the herb thats been helping her, so her pain levels are really bad right now… Read more

well, if you've been folowing, you know they need to find out why slave's white blood cell count is staying high, before they can start her on then immune supressents for the rheumatoid arthritis. they've ruled out leukimia (thank God!!!) but they still thiunk there's some kind of infection. probably in her jaw. so tomorrow (friday) they are doing a bone scan of her jaw. an injection in the morning, then back in the afternoon for the scan. she's worried abpout whatever the stuff is they are injecting… Read more

updating slave juli's health
she is still dealing with the rheumatoid artheritis pain. can't start the meds for that till after they do the bone scan of her jaw, to find the infection. that has to be cleared up before using immune suppresents. there's a problem with her liver that she will be seeing a dactor about next week. they are gonna do an endoscopy to check that out, on the 24th. she is a little scared about that. I will be with her.… Read more
