Sunset Strip as one of my favourite Soho hangouts when I was a young man in Soho. Wonderful ladies and a great club. Happy days.

I used to spend an inordinate amount of time and quite a bit of money in strip pubs, the ones where the girls would walk around with a pint glass collecting tips, and then walk around for the strip. Then they would walk around retrieving their discarded clothing. Occasionally you'd get a strip in the old style, as you describe above. On a quiet day the stripper would often come and sit with you and chat, which of course made me feel highly flattered. What do you mean they were only after my money? Who cares if they were? Sadly most of those pubs, in London at any rate, have closed down or stopped having 'Erotic Dancers'. Shame.
